The RAVEN R44 available in two VERSIONS:

R44 Raven I

The R44 Raven I offers high reliability, fuel economy, endurance, and comfortable hydraulic controls. This model is also available with float utility as a clipper I.

Affordable luxury defines the Raven I. The standard features include high-precision governor rotation speed, durable rotor brake, auxiliary power system for more versatility and longer range, powerful heating/demisting, and controls Hydraulics that completely eliminate the flexibility of the handle and control forces for a flexible and relaxing ride.

The Raven I is disting with its aerodynamic design and allows a high cruising speed of up to 113 Kts and an average fuel consumption of only 12 to 16 gallons per hour. The reliable Lycoming O-540 engine and develops 205 hp continuous (225 hp takeoff) for a long life and unsurpassed reliability. The cabin offers comfortable seats “two plus two” removable double controls and no bulkhead or post between front and rear seats, ensuring exceptional visibility and panoramic views for all passengers.

It has the least accidents due to aircraft or engine failure as other light helicopters, and is best of all, the Raven has the lowest cost per seat-mile of all helicopters from anywhere.

R44 Raven II

The high performance of the R44 Raven II is designed for more payload, higher altitudes, and faster speeds with all the luxuries of the Raven I. The latest in the R44 range, this device is also available in Clipper II, police helicopter, and Newscopter.

The new injection engine offers higher power for better performance and eliminates the need for carburetor reheating. The engine develops 245 hp for 5 minutes and 205 hp of continuous maximum power, to ensure a longer life and low maintenance cost. Overall, the Raven II predicts an increase of 100 lb favourable to the gross mass of the R44 and a rise of IGE and emb in hover ceilings, while eliminating carburetor problems and carburetor icing.

Another major improvement is the noise reduction of the Raven II. The main features of the silent helicopter are fully reviewed and also the tail rotor blades. Both rotor assemblies are equipped with end-of-blade noise reduction plugs that reduce the 1-dB overflight noise.
